Necessary evil?

My Blackberry Curve kicked the bucket. Actually, it still worked when it felt like it...but I was really ready to throw it out of my car window.

Since last Tuesday, my Curve had been shutting off and rebooting itself. It could be while it was charging, while I was on a phone call or internet browsing; it didn't matter. Over the past week, it had probably rebooted on it's own ohhh about 60 times.

Talk about frustrating!

It really made me want to say all kinds of ugly things to my phone.
Even though I love it.

It took a week to get to Cell South because...it just did. Busy busy. I did call last week, and they said it would probably need to be sent in. Great.

I finally made it to the store this morning at 9am. My phone had already rebooted itself 4 times this morning. Love that. Thankfully, it was still under warranty, and they gave me a new Curve to be my best friend.

The sales rep was able to transfer all of my numbers, but all of my applications and the BB pins' of all my friends were lost in Never Never Land.

Starting from scratch. And add in the small fact that I couldn't send SMS texts which I didn't realize until leaving the store.
ON THE NEW PHONE. What in the world?

Finally, after chatting online with Cell South for about 20 minutes this afternoon, they walked me through the process of fixing the text messaging issue. My other problem was transferring my email account to the new Curve. The technician quickly accomplished that as well, and I was ever-so-grateful.

Now if you'll excuse me, I must go delete one-by-one the 174 emails and 51 Facebook messages that my new Curve found from way back when in Never Never Land.

Super Bowl Recipe Exchange

I'm participating in a recipe exchange over at Katie's Southern Kitchen. Go link up! I wanna see everyone's recipes!!

This is probably my favorite dip. I first had it at Jeffry's cousin Amy's house, hence the name. We usually serve it with Fritos, and I just never can quit eating it! SO yummy! If you're serving men, you better double the recipe!

Amy's Corn Dip

2- 11oz.cans of Mexi-corn(drained)

1 can of Rotel(drained)

1 cup of Mayo

1- 8oz pkg.cream cheese

8oz shredded cheddar cheese

Just mix everything together and chill for about an hour (it's hard for me to wait that long!) Serve with Fritos or tortilla chips.

Project Life - Week 1

I'm participating in Project Life Tuesdays (yes, except that today is Wednesday, oops) with The Mom Creative! It's not too late for you to join in! Just start where you can.

Friday, January 1, 2010 - Caleb outside Dacus Furniture in Kilmichael. We were touring around town with Aunt Teresa, NooNoo, and BecBec. I thought this brick wall would be a great picture opp!

Saturday, January 2, 2010 - Trace had been playing the piano with Granny for about 30 minutes when he finally gave up...right on the keys!

Sunday, January 3, 2010 - Our church has a new service time! We've been meeting at 9, but starting today it's 10:30!

*I didn't get a pic of the clock this day like I wanted to, so I just made a "10:30" on some cardstock with stickers I had in my supplies.

Monday, January 4, 2010 - My new soup pot that Daddy gave me for Christmas. Soup is our staple meal this winter!

Tuesday, January 5, 2010 - Trace has learned to "share" and was feeding Mommy a piece of paper! He says "tan tu" when he gives you something.

Wednesday, January 6, 2010 - This rustic metal "P" hangs in our living room. I love that it represents our name and embodies the feel of our farmhouse.

Thursday, January 7, 2010 - Cold little boys, but you still insist on playing outside! It has been record-setting temps this week in South MS!

Numbers...

I haven't even had the time to blog about it yet but the past THREE days have consisted of:

* 1 - blue, bruised and swollen pinky finger

* 4 - X rays

* 2 - doses of steroids

* 1 - ER visit at midnight

* 1 - bloody, busted lip

* # - multiple breathing treatments

* 1 - cool mist treatment

* 3 - body parts burned from hot soup (chest, tummy, leg)

Can you guess what happened to which child??

Whew, boys...and they're only ages 6, 4, and 1.

New Year's Resolution #2

As if my first resolution didn't cover just about EVERYTHING, I'm also sooo excited to participate in Becky Higgin's Project Life this year!

Project Life is basically a scrapbook that captures a year's worth of your life in photos and short explanations on journaling cards. I think it's really designed to be done on a daily basis (365) but you can take it a week at a time (52) or even monthly (12). However you participate, just do it! It's not hard at all...basically the book is already made for you, all you have to do is print your pictures and slide them into the right spot! Kinda like scrapbooking made easy for people who don't have time or don't like the idea of scrapbooking but love to take pictures.

I'm tracking my kit, and it should be here tomorrow! Until then, I've been taking a picture every day and jotting notes in a journal to remind myself what to write on my journaling cards. I'm beyond excited about this project!

Also, I saw that Jessica Turner is hosting Project Life Tuesdays on her blog starting next week. I'm going to try my best to participate in that on a weekly basis! That should keep me motivated to stay on track!

And if you're interested, it's not too late to buy Project Life for yourself! Just go ahead and start taking your pictures...you can jump in at any time. Then order your kit from Becky Higgins ASAP! Have fun!!
