Naked.

I LOVE Naked Juice

Have you ever tried it?

A cross between juice and a smoothie.

I brought home a bottle of Green Machine the other night, and my husband totally made fun of me.

This convo is on the side of the bottle:

"Looks weird." Sip. "Tastes amazing." Sip. "Hey, 10 green turbo-nutrients?" Sip. "Still looks weird."

And it's very true. Looks nasty, tastes so yummy!

I love that the exact number of fruits/veggies is listed on the side of the bottle.

Today I downed a huge Mighty Mango with no shame.

I've really been trying to eat healthier foods and make more intentional choices
about what I'm putting into my body.

And Naked Juice has been one of my favorite additions to my diet thus far.

*Do you have any favorite healthy snacks you could suggest for me to try?

New Year's Resolution #2

As if my first resolution didn't cover just about EVERYTHING, I'm also sooo excited to participate in Becky Higgin's Project Life this year!

Project Life is basically a scrapbook that captures a year's worth of your life in photos and short explanations on journaling cards. I think it's really designed to be done on a daily basis (365) but you can take it a week at a time (52) or even monthly (12). However you participate, just do it! It's not hard at all...basically the book is already made for you, all you have to do is print your pictures and slide them into the right spot! Kinda like scrapbooking made easy for people who don't have time or don't like the idea of scrapbooking but love to take pictures.

I'm tracking my kit, and it should be here tomorrow! Until then, I've been taking a picture every day and jotting notes in a journal to remind myself what to write on my journaling cards. I'm beyond excited about this project!

Also, I saw that Jessica Turner is hosting Project Life Tuesdays on her blog starting next week. I'm going to try my best to participate in that on a weekly basis! That should keep me motivated to stay on track!

And if you're interested, it's not too late to buy Project Life for yourself! Just go ahead and start taking your pictures...you can jump in at any time. Then order your kit from Becky Higgins ASAP! Have fun!!

New Year's Resolution

My New Year's Resolution comes from Proverbs 31. I've read this many times, but I re-read it this morning in my quiet time and I really feel like it encompasses my goals for this year.

A Wife of Noble Character

10 [b]Who can find a virtuous and capable wife?
She is more precious than rubies.
11 Her husband can trust her,
and she will greatly enrich his life.
12 She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.

13 She finds wool and flax
and busily spins it.
14 She is like a merchant’s ship,
bringing her food from afar.
15 She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household
and plan the day’s work for her servant girls.

16 She goes to inspect a field and buys it;
with her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17 She is energetic and strong,
a hard worker.
18 She makes sure her dealings are profitable;
her lamp burns late into the night.

19 Her hands are busy spinning thread,
her fingers twisting fiber.
20 She extends a helping hand to the poor
and opens her arms to the needy.
21 She has no fear of winter for her household,
for everyone has warm[c] clothes.

22 She makes her own bedspreads.
She dresses in fine linen and purple gowns.
23 Her husband is well known at the city gates,
where he sits with the other civic leaders.
24 She makes belted linen garments
and sashes to sell to the merchants.

25 She is clothed with strength and dignity,
and she laughs without fear of the future.
26 When she speaks, her words are wise,
and she gives instructions with kindness.
27 She carefully watches everything in her household
and suffers nothing from laziness.

28 Her children stand and bless her.
Her husband praises her:
29 “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world,
but you surpass them all!”

30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;
but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.
31 Reward her for all she has done.
Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.

Ringing in 2009!

For New Year's Eve, Jeffry and I joined two other couples at Walnut Circle Grill. It was so wonderful! I just love the atmosphere of the restaurant; it's never crowded...I feel like it's "our" spot. We had a blast ringing in the new year! I was so tired the next day though! I'm used to waking up during the night to feed Trace, but I'm not used to staying up late any more!

New year, new look

Sorry for the delay in posting New Years pics! Ahh, I haven't even finished posting Christmas, and it's already the new year! I picked this new layout from The Cutest Blog on the Block, and I love it. Fresh and clean for 2009!

Some of my goals for this year:

* Read the One Year Bible EVERYday

* Get back to pre-baby weight...I'm back to what I was before Trace was born, but I mean before Brayden was born. Yes, that was 7 years ago. Ah. Is it bad if I don't want to diet, but just exercise? I love food too much to quit eating everything I like. And I'm SUCH a dessert person. Bad.

* Write everything in my planner. EVERYTHING.

* Cook at home at LEAST three nights a week.

* Get up-to-date on my scrapbooking. I have Brayden finished through age three, poor Caleb only has his baby book finished, and here I have Trace to get started on! I'm SO behind.

* Get to know more people in the blog world! I've just started following some of your blogs; please feel free to follow mine! I have added the "Follow me" link on the right side of my page.

* Be more intentional in my relationships.

* Keep my house free from clutter! Which I anticipate will be hard with three boys. Especially when the oldest 2 just got Legos for Christmas. Haha

That will do for now. I may post more as I think of them :)

What are your resolutions for this year?

NYE

I love New Year's Eve! Ever since I have been married, my husband and I usually do something fun for New Year's. Last year we went with some friends of ours to Muscle Shoals, AL to this cute little golf resort and partied away with the old people. We definitely made the party!

This year we are going a little more classy...to our favorite date night restaurant, Walnut Circle Grill. We invited another couple to go with us; it's always more fun with friends! While we were out Christmas shopping, Jeffry helped me choose my dress which is adorable and totally not my usual color. I did NOT want to wear black. I get tired of black dresses. Jeffry actually picked this dress himself. You'll have to wait to see pictures!! I also got some snazzy shoes...love Antonio Melani. They always fit perfectly and have the cutest styles for a great price.

I'm off to Poplarville for lunch with my BFF then going to get pretty for tonight!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
