Trace "How He Loves"

Trace has a love of music already, and it's just exciting to watch him! Here he is dancing to Kim Walker's version of "How He Loves". I think this makes Jesus smile. I know I do!

Black and White

Jenn Johnson from Bethel Church in Redding California

This is definitely worth the 12 minutes it takes to watch. Gives you something to think about.

We need to figure out what we love, who we are, and what makes us come alive, and partner with who He's called us to be.

Spring Clean!

In true Spring-like fashion, I'm getting the itch to organize and clear the clutter. What is it about this time of year that makes me feel like a nesting pregnant woman again? I've heard of several people lately who are starting their spring deep-clean. However, I'm at the stage where I need to get rid of clutter before I can deep clean the way I would like.

I have decided that I am going to get rid of the clothes I no longer wear. Why do I keep them in my closet when I know I'm not going to wear them? It just causes me extra stress and makes things look more crowded. I'm all about simplifying things lately, especially within my home.

I loved this post over at The Inspired Room on "Order Before Beauty". So true. That's where I am right now...getting my house in order.

And this one- "Real Simple Solutions for an Organized Home". Please look how adorable the teacups are! I'm totally stealing this idea. Also, I love the idea of using all white towels with the colored tabs to keep track of who left their towel on the floor. There's something about a white towel that's just clean and fresh. When it's time for us to buy new ones, I'm investing in white.

After the clutter is cleared, I'm using this Spring Cleaning Checklist. It's so thorough and goes by room. I really can't wait!

Sarah Mae over at Like a Warm Cup of Coffee has a great collection of blog posts entitled "31 Days to Clean". She also has linked to some other cleaning resources that you may find interesting.

Do you have any articles or ideas for clearing clutter or spring cleaning? Please share!

Quotable Moments

Some of my favorite quotes from the boys lately.

Looking at the pink sunset and Caleb says, "It's cool pink. It's not girl pink."

Bray reading out of his new Bible, "Mama, I just love that story so much I hafta read it again and again!"

Caleb- "Where did Satan find the snake suit he wore in the garden?"

Caleb- "Can we rent Up?" Me- "We've already seen it." Caleb- "Well then can we rent Down, that would be ok too?"

Bray to his piano teacher- "I don't have a lot of time to practice because I just work outside a lot."

Bray- "I'm gonna be a scientist tomorrow and microwave a pinecone." (For the record, this never happened. I prayed he would forget.)

Caleb playing his new guitar- "Mama, how do you change the song? Do you have a tick {pick} for it?"

Caleb- "We are men cuz we like jalapenos!"

Spring, come quickly!

In honor of how beyond ready I am for Spring this year, I changed my blog background to something bright and colorful courtesy of Shabby Blogs. I also added a new Playlist of some songs that I am loving right now. If you haven't heard them, you should really check them out!

Where I Belong- Cory Asbury
How He Loves- Kim Walker (this song is on David Crowder's newest album but I LOVE Kim's version)
You Won't Relent- Misty Edwards
A Little Longer- Jenn Johnson (Totally in love with the words to this song. Sung from God's perspective)
Desert Song- Hillsong

Have you heard or seen the background story of Desert Song? Click here to see the video on you tube. Trust me, you do not want to miss this story. What's crazy is that this is almost my exact testimony of when I had a miscarriage. I need to write a post on that. The first time that I sang this song in church, I shared my testimony about having a miscarriage. I think it's something that some people just kind of overlook as not that big of a deal. Anyway, more on that later.

I'm so ready for Spring! And the "real feel" temp outside today is 32 degrees and windy. Am I still really in South MS??
